Setting Z0
I have a CNC Shark and just picked up the D3 knife. Are there any tips to setting Z0 for using the knife? I set mine like I do for carving and it cut right through the vinyl. I think my table is not exactly flat and is causing the issue. Any tips for dealing with that?

Re: Setting Z0
Eric,
You need to plane the surface of your table with a large diameter cutter or fly cutter. This will guarantee that is it true to your machine. When setting cut depth for any material, you want to make test cuts to ensure you are cutting to the the depth you desire. This is typically just through the material, but not into your table. If you are using vinyl, it will be through the vinyl, but not the backing. This is a difference of about 0.002in, so make very fine adjustments until you achieve the desired results.
