What is it:

A Microsoft Excel Document that automatically adds swivel actions where it finds sharp corners in your tool path

How do I use it:

What types of CNC machines does it work with:

It will work with any machine that runs on G-code (most CNC routers run on G-code)
- Most machines accept I&J codes so start with that one
- If the I&J Code version doesn't work, try the R code version
We have a special version for shopbot users

This program is only capable of seeing move commands. Such commands include G0, and G1 (for G-code) and J(og) or M(ove) (for shopbot). If the code you are trying to process contains circle or arc commands (G2, G3 in G-code or CG, CC in shopbot) the program will appear to dramatically alter your tool path.

Solutions:

use a post processor in your cam software that does not export arcs. Vectric software post processors will indicate the type of post processor as an "arc" processor. Do not use post processors with "arc" in their name.
If you must use an "arc" post processor, do not use circles as drawing elements or find some way to convert them to bezier curves.

I tried the Gcode Swivel Excel file but it gives the following error when I open the Excel file.

"This workbook has lost its VBA project, ActiveX controls and any other programmability-related features."

How can I fix this ?

I'm not an expert at the newer versions of excel or mac installs. Based on my google search, you could have vba or macros disabled. See this link:

You'll want to be certain that you have this feature enabled in excel
If you do, you may want to try re-downloading the excel document from the web site. If neither of these work post back here or give us a call.

Thanks for the help, it ended up being that VBA was not installed by default, I installed it and now the Gcode excel file is working.

DXF2GCODE cam software is drag knife capable now was finished 4/6/2014. I will make it available here https://www.box.com/shared/4xijx42qt62ls6fx03z9 until it is ready available from developers site for a regular download.
