Hello.

I'm trying to cut 3/16" foam boards and need some advice. The cuts are fairly simple, nothing below 90 degree corners. My setup is a Shopbot PRSalpha with a D4 drag knife utility blade attached, designing with Vcarve Pro 6.0 and the swivel Excel workbook. My questions are:

1. Can I cut in a single pass or should I use 2 passes?

2. Right now I'm using 2 inch/sec feed rate, given the answer to #1 is this too fast/slow?

3. In the swivel Excel workbook I'm using blade offset 0.09" and swivel height 0.1775". Do these values sound fine?

I'm looking for starter values before I do my first cut. Thanks!

I'm trying to cut the same material. This is the first time I've been able to do any testing. I'm using Aspire to program, but I'd be interested in hearing your results.
